N.C.C as a Nursery of Future Citizens, is playing a creditable role in shaping the character of our youth by instilling in them the values of patriotism, service, discipline and hardwork. The Motto of N.C.C is ” Unity & Discipline”.

Apart from other activities NCC Provides Job opportunities for those Cadets who clear ‘C’ certificate Examination, The Cadet can also directly appear for SSB Interviews.

NCC Achievements

NCC unit of the college functioning under the guidance of NCC officer Dr. Parvesh Kumar took part in many activities during this session.
-Seven Cadets attended CATC Training Camp at Malout.
-5 NCC Cadets attended NIC Taking Camp at RANIKHET (Uttrakhand)
-5 NCC Cadets attended NIC Taking Camp at TIRVPATI (A.P)
-Three Cadets attended CATC at NCC academy Malout
– 07 Cadets appeared in ‘B’ Certificate Exam.
– 04 Cadets appeared for ‘C’ Certificate


NSS based on Swami Vivekanand’s teachings has been introduced in the college through University by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. It provides opportunities to the students to get valuable practical experience in the Community Service through programmes such as eradicating Illiteracy, Slum Cleaning, Voluntary Health Service, Removal of Untouchability, Family Planning, National Integration Campaigns, Female Foeticide, Adult Education and other National Development Projects.

The aim of NSS is ‘ Not me, But You ‘. The College has been sanctioned two contingents of one hundred students each, ( Boys & Girs ) two programme officers look over the department. The Students are advised to join ‘NSS’ in a large number, so that they may put in their contribution towards National Construction.

NSS Achievements

NSS units of the college functioning under the headship of Dr. Kunal Mehta and Prof. Pallavi Manik organised the following events:

* A Blood Donation Camp was organised on 26 August 2014. Fifty students of the college voluntarily donated blood under the supervision of a team of expert doctors from PIMS Jalandhar.

* Another Blood Donation Camp was organised in association with Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad on 6 September, 2014. A team of doctors from Civil Hospital, Ludhiana collected 96 units of blood under the supervision of BTO Dr. Ramandeep Kaur.

NSS units of the college joined the national event, “Run for unity” on the call of honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 30 Oct, 2014. In this event, 200 students of the college and 400 students from different schools took part.
